University Real Estate
The University of British Columbia is a city unto itself. Most recent housing initiatives on the campus have lead to a massive effort to produce market housing in the form of 99 year leasehold strata title properties. These accomodate student housing requirements and create additional investment opportunities. There is also an exclusive single detached housing component on campus (these are freehold interests). These are typically on large lots. The university endowment lands, numerous museums and a golf course are all fine amenities in the area. N.B. taxes are not paid to the City of Vancouver but to the UEL.
