Vancouver's Kerrisdale neighbourhood is bisected by the east/west 41st Avenue transportation link. Around the commercial section of 41st, there are numerous high/low rise apartments in Kerrisdale, bordered by classic single family homes. There are excellent schools in the area (including the Crofton House private girls school), making the Kerrisdale real estate market very popular among families. There is also a growing population of seniors in the area because of the village-like feel of the neighbourhood, and because Kerrisdale homes and apartments are located within easy walking distance of a variety of shopping and dining options.
